Installing and Using Motion Sensors
Your ADT monitored home security system can be customized for your specific needs, and you can choose how many motion sensors you want installed. You can also select where you want them installed in your home. Your installation specialist will be glad to assist you with this decision.
Motion sensors detect any movement within the room. If the motion sensor has been activated, it will cause the security alarm to sound when it detects movement. You and ADT will be alerted to any suspicious activity in your home.
You Control the Motion Sensors
Motion sensors are easy to control from the control keypad. You can activate and deactivate each motion sensor individually, so you won’t need to worry about a motion sensor causing an unnecessary alarm. Using the keypad, motion sensors in occupied rooms can be deactivated, and motion sensors in unoccupied rooms can be activated.
Pets and Motion Sensors
There’s no need to worry if you have pets. Motion sensors are designed to disregard movements of pets. Depending on weight, your dog or cat can move about freely in any room, and you won’t be woken up in the middle of the night because a pet activated the alarm.
