A Home Security System Might Save Your Teeth

This really happened. Intruders broke into a house in Oregon and made off with a set of gold teeth that had once belonged to the home owner’s great grandmother. There were many other irreplaceable items taken as well, including collectible coins, a set of antique Legos, guns, heirloom jewelry and electronics. The value of the stolen goods is estimated at $5,000.  The culprits also made off with all the family’s birth certificates and social security cards.

The set of antique Legos belonged to the 10-year-old son of the victims and he feels pretty bad about it. The entire family feels bad about the heirloom items that were taken. They are afraid they will never get them back and they were the only reminders of family members that have passed away.

Most people wait until the worst has happened before they have a home security system installed. Don’t wait until you become the victim of a break in before you take action to protect your valuables.
