An area resident, Gary Lovedale was away from home helping with the plans for his grandmother’s funeral and when he returned and discovered intruders had broken in and taken many of his valuable items and his puppy.

Loveday said it didn’t make any sense to leave your own home and have most of your personal property gone when you get back. He was also quite distraught over his missing puppy, having already been dealing with the passing of his grandmother.

The police reported that over 40 homes in the area had been hit in a five week period.
