  • Everyone at home has been trained in operating the home security system.
  • I have placed a quick summary of operating instructions for reference near my system control panel.
  • Everyone in the family knows how to cancel a false burglar alarm.
  • We all know how to disarm the motion sensors in specific areas while leaving other ones activated.
  • We know how to contact our monitoring company immediately and how to test the system.
  • I know exactly how much time I have between the time I enter my house and the time before the alarms are triggered.
  • Everyone knows where the main control panel is located.
  • I have asked my security company to adjust my motion sensors so my pets don’t trigger the alarms.
  • I know I need to notify my security company if I make any changes in my pass codes, setup or contact information.
  • Before I do any home renovations I know I need to contact my security company for instructions to avoid triggering the alarms.
  • I understand it is my responsibility to prevent false alarms and I may be fined if they happen.
